Our story
The Philippine Business Coalition for Women’s Empowerment (PBCWE) was launched in March 2017 through Investing in Women (IW), an initiative of the Australian Government. In the Philippines, IW partnered with the Philippine Women’s Economic Network (PhilWEN) to establish a business coalition committed to advancing Workplace Gender Equality (WGE), Women’s Economic Equality (WEE), and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
We bring together industry-leading MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) committed to taking concrete actions to improve gender equality within their own workplaces. Beyond their organizations, member companies also work to influence positive change across their supply chains and among other large businesses, encouraging them to become better and more inclusive employers of women.
